Wine Bar & Eatery

Step off the street, and you'll find yourself in the heart of the Foyle Hotel eatery and wine bar. "In too many hotels, food is an afterthought," says Brian. "Here, food is at the centre of everything we do."

That care is evident in the eatery, where Brian has designed the menu to make the most of Donegal's seasonal specialities. With the harbour at Greencastle only a few kilometres away, seafood features strongly on the menu, and often fish will be on a plate within only a few hours of landing.

From fishermen to farmers, all of the hotel's suppliers are recognised on the menu — "even our milkman gets a mention," jokes Brian — and he loves to explain the provenance behind every dish.

The wine bar offers an extensive wine list, signature cocktail menu and Brian's own craft beer, all designed to complement the eatery menus, and served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere which mixes contemporary design with the legendary Donegal welcome.

The eatery is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, with the wine bar open from 4.30pm daily.
